I just noticed the other day that the reason she has a big gap between her teeth is that she has an upper lip tie. I haven't talked to anyone about it, so I'm not sure if there is something that needs to be done about it or not? I guess we'll find out soon.

Lydia has it, too. Her dentist says it's not a big deal - most kids eventually fall down and tear it and that's fine. If not, then before they get braces or permanent teeth, they can go in and sever it. Definitely not a concern for a few more years, though!
Oh man!!! So crazy, after you posted this I was like heeey.....and checked Brooklyn. Totally the same! Makes sense to me now cause her upper lip is permanently puckered upwards so she can't say her "m" sound very well. She makes the "m" sound by doing the same thing you would do for the "f" sound a lot. And she can't rest her mouth closed very well either. I wonder if they'll clip it now so she can get used to better movement to speak more clearly while she's young? Crazy!
