My Fulfilling Job!

I love being home with Emma. It's been a rough adjustment for me to go from being in school socializing all of the time to at home every day. Initially I really struggled getting used to taking care of Emma and cleaning around the house. Chores like dishes and laundry never end and I felt like that's all I did...
But I finally realized those things need to get done, but I don't need to be in a HURRY to get them done. I've learned to enjoy each day and take time to play with Emma and just relax with her. I've actually found that since I've done this, I get just as much done as I did before, but I'm MUCH happier! I now love being home! I actually woke up the other day excited that I had dishes in the sink that needed to be done and laundry to do... and then I had to stop and wonder what was wrong with me!
Anyway, I'm grateful for this newfound love of my "job"!

*Drinking out of Daddy's cup... definitely the favorite way to drink juice!*
*This way is okay...*
*But this one was super frustrating! (There was nothing in it and she was smashing it into her face trying to get SOMETHING out of it!)*
*This is one of the little plastic magnet letters that sticks to the fridge... she loves to play with them and stick one in her mouth and crawl around. It cracks me up!*

I am so glad you love being a mom... I know the adjustment will be hard for me when the time comes... but it is nice to see that you are so blessed from it!
Thanks for being wonderful

I know what you mean. I actually look forward to doing laundry. It makes me feel like I've accomplished a lot. I try to have set things for each day instead of trying to clean the whole house every day. This leaves plenty of fun bonding time with Trenton and it's amazing how life seems to be better because of it!

I look forward to dishes too. Mostly because it has become a major stress-reliever but at least it's something that after all this time I've come to enjoy.

Ok, I can't believe Emma is drinking out of a cup! Ian is so not doing that yet!! and they are only a few weeks apart!
