Last Saturday: I realized my freezer was not working and my food was all thawing out. I talked to my upstairs neighbor, Sharla, and her husband came down and checked it out but by then it had finally started up again (who knows why??) Anyway, they gave me a little thermometer to put in and check the temps in the fridge and freezer... (more on that later).
Last Sunday night: Emma woke up crying and was pretty upset for a little bit but went back to sleep with Logan on the couch. Abby had sort of a rough start to her night also (she got both her top and bottom molars in this week)-- she was fine after some ibuprofen.
Monday: it rained a ton and my kitchen floor (its carpet) flooded in one corner. It really freaked me out for a while, but it stopped spreading and dried out after a couple of days. Emma had a really rough night and kept telling me that her ear hurt.
Tuesday: Took the kids to the doctor and found out Emma has an ear infection and that Abby has another double ear infection (that's 5 ear infections in 5 months). This week we go in to make sure after antibiotics that Abby's ear infection is really gone or if it's been a reoccurring one. That evening when we got home we went to dinner with some friends and Emma fell asleep on a blanket on the floor. I had a couple of people comment to me that they wish their kids would do that! Made me laugh cuz that's the only time it has happened... And probably the only time it will happen.
Wednesday and Thursday were pretty good days, just had grumpy, recovering kids.
Friday: Logan started feeling pretty sick.
Saturday: was pretty good until that night. First my parents stopped by for dinner (they had been in Texas visiting my sister). We ate some pizza and played. The kids were super excited! Anyway, they left and I threw the kids in the tub...and then Emma threw up in the tub. Gross and not fun cleanup, I won't go into any more detail. Anyway, she curled up on the couch and went to sleep right away... Even before I could get her dressed, boy was she mad when I made her put some pjs on. Anyway, she threw up a couple more times (I think totaling five that night). I had put Abby to bed and she had gone done quickly and quietly, which was a huge relief. But after Emma fell asleep after she was done throwing up, I heard coughing from Abby. I ran in and she had thrown up all over her bed and then laid back down to sleep... Gross! Haha. Anyway, I picked her up and then she threw up all over me! Whoops! So I cleaned her up and cuddled her for a little bit and then cleaned up her room. Then Logan came home and she threw up on him. Emma was still asleep on the. Ouch. So I set up a bed (a bed made of towels...) next to it and laid down with Abby. Abby threw up twice more... And then ate a ton and drank a ton and went to sleep. I really have no idea what time it was by then... But it was late.
Today: the kids slept in and we stayed home from church. The kids were super tired and we just relaxed all day. We came to the conclusion that most of the food in our freezer and fridge was bad. The thermometer all week had been dropping into the spoilage section in the fridge... Anyway, we think that's what made the kids sick, so we threw out tons and tons of food. I'm headed to stay with my parents for a couple of days in hopes that we will either have a fixed or brand new fridge when we get back. Not having a place to keep food is hard!!
Anyway... By the end of today I just wanted to throw up my hands and say "SERIOUSLY?" but now as I've typed it all up it doesn't seem as bad as I thought... Oh well. Here's to hoping next week is better!

I totally feel for you on the fridge situation. Ours stopped working at the end of December and we too had been eating/drinking the food in it not realizing how warm it actually was. Fortunately for us none of us got sick. I'm sorry your family did! I hope this week is lots better!!!
