Around 11pm last night I got an upset stomach. Nothing new right?
So I tried really hard to keep my dinner in because on Tuesday I had my second gum graft and I didn't want to ruin the graft.
Well that didn't work out too well and I lost dinner. Oh well, no big deal right? Curled up in bed to watch some Lost with Logan... about 20 mins in I was sick again.
Came back to bed and went to sleep, I think for about an hour. What a good hour of sleep that was... sigh...
Then I woke up sick again, and for about 2.5 hours I continued to be sick every 5-10 minutes. Worst night EVER.
It got worse when Logan started to feel a little sick... and then Emma threw up all over her crib.
A wonderful neighbor came over and gave us blessings.
A little while later I knew I better head to the ER... I was severly dehydrated and could NOT stop throwing up.
Can I just say how awesome they were to us? They were so sweet to Emma, and were very eager to please us and make sure we were comfortable. I don't know that I've EVER felt that comfortable in a hospital. Anyways, they hooked me up to an IV--pumped me full of a total of about 3 Liters of fluids before letting me go. And of course pumped me full of Zofran... which stopped the throwing up. What a wonderful invention.
Anyway, Emma was feeling better but super tired so Logan took her to a neighbors while I finished being pumped with fluids. I'm not sure what I'd do without the amazing neighbor that we have. She is SUCH a blessing in our life. She eagerly took Emma and curled up with her and slept on the couch with her all night! And then throughout the next day watched her and fed her all day. I know there is no way I can ever repay her, but I'm grateful that there are people out there that care enough to give up their time to help out in times like this.
Logan was a little bit sick after he got back to the hospital and threw up for the first time in 5 and 1/2 years! SAD DAY!
We finally got home around 6:30am and crashed in bed. I was so tired, but still sick feeling, I only threw up a couple more times that day... (I know you probably don't care but it was so awful that I have to share... I think the grand total was about 30 times throwing up in that 12 hour period--the doc says it was just a bug... but I have my suspisions about food poisoning, whatever it was I'm glad it's over...) but ended up with severe back pain that I thought might be back labor. So we went to my doctors, they checked me and said things were fine. They also checked the gender of the little stinker who tried to keep her legs crossed this time too... but I think we surprised her! We are now 100% instead of 80% sure it's a GIRL! We are super excited and are glad one good thing came of today...
Anyway, it was a super rough day and I am extremely exhausted. Logan was brave and went to the ward camp out with Emma... so I'm expecting to get an AWESOME nights sleep :)
Anyway, Emma turns 18 months next week so be prepared for a post about how crazy big she's getting!
