Over the last 4 weeks I've been having a lot of stomach aches (making a lot of people believe I am pregnant--I am NOT pregnant).
I had an epiphany the other day while having a stomach ache.
The last 4 weeks we've been trying to eat healthier for Logan's diet, and I realized that I'd been eating 3 or 4 omelets a week for breakfast and that I had one that morning. And it made me wonder if that was the problem.
And then I thought back... to the first time I really remembered having the stomach aches that bad, my senior year of high school, at a robotics competition... I had eaten eggs (a lot of them) at Denny's that morning and ended up pretty sick for a couple of days!
And then I thought about how at home my mom used to cook hashed browns and eggs every Saturday morning for breakfast... and I used to feel sick afterwards. I used to think it was maybe the grease from the hashed browns? but... after putting all of the other pieces together I think it was the eggs.
So! We're putting it to the test, I'm not going to eat eggs again for a couple of weeks and if there aren't any stomach aches, then... we'll give it another try and I'll eat some eggs. And if I end up sick... we have our answer! I actually... really hope that's what it is because it would be great to be able to prevent the stomach aches. And... I've never been a HUGE egg fan so it really wouldn't hurt my feelings very much :)
Anyways, we'll update you again in a few weeks!!

It's a good way to test, but you can do it a lot faster by visiting the doc and having him test. But I understand insurance, or lack thereof, and money so this is a very good alternative. One thing you should be wary about... if you ARE allergic to eggs, it is possible that you are also allergic to other poultry. Good luck and let us know how it goes :)
If you do get sick from the eggs. You should SERIOUSLY try to buy organic eggs from a local farmer. It made a HUGE difference to me!
why would an egg allergy mean you are allergic to other poultry?
I hope it's something easy like this that you don't necessarily love.
seems like an easy test to me and a lot cheaper to just avoid for a bit :)
