Our Story

So I realized I have so many new friends and they don't really know Logan and I's story so I wanted to share!
We met through Logan's roommate, Blake, who asked me out randomly while we were studying (didn't know each other--what a brave guy! haha) Anyway, to preview that, my life up until that point had been really hard for the previous year and I was not happy at all. I was lonely and really needed some friends or a friend to count on. That morning I got up and said my prayers and prayed for someone, someone to help me out of the rut I was in. That day Blake asked me out and that night... we doubled with his roommate, Logan Campbell.
I felt stupid on the date, Logan and Blake kept whispering together, and I thought they were discussing how lame the date was... so I felt really dumb (later I discovered they were actually talking about how I was the better looking date--haha). Anyways, that night Blake asked me to come hang out with him the next day. So we did, it was a lot of fun. Logan was with a different girl on this date, and then that night we all got together again and Logan was with the girl from the first date. I thought that was really funny. Anyway, Logan and Blake later asked me to join their water battleship team--SO FUN! Basically you are in canoes in a swimming pool and you have some kind of scoop that you use to try to fill up the other canoes and make them sink, last one up wins. It was SOOOO fun. Anyways, throughout all of this, Blake and I became good friends, but I did notice that Logan was flirting a lot more with me. A while later we were messaging on MySpace and he asked me how to get to the mall in Idaho Falls (where I'm from). I kind of explained it while thinking, "You know you want to ask me to go with you, SO JUST DO IT!" A few minutes later... he did.

We had a BLAST! We talked easily with each other and had a lot of fun. We went to the mall, ate pizza, went and walked around by the falls and the temple, and looked at the stars. Really... it was the perfect date :)
Anyways, things took off from there, we hung out together nearly every day. We had plenty of struggles, but of course the good times were way more frequent and definitely made up for them!
Logan was my first kiss and also the first guy I ever held hands with :) I'm happy to say it was definitely worth it to wait for him ;)

We probably dated about 2 months before we started joking about getting married. I remember I told him once that we'd have to get married that summer or wait until the next summer cuz I was NOT getting married in the winter... I think that got his wheels turning :)

After 4 months of dating we got engaged on April 1st, 2006. But here is a story we have to stop and share...
Logan had to do a project for some Biology class, so we had to go to the zoo. It was April 1st... the first day the zoo was open... and cold... and it snowed... and all I had on was a wimpy little cotton jacket, so now you know how I felt. I was probably more whiney than I needed to be... but I was COLD! So I whined and complained a lot, and we FINALLY got done and Logan told me he was going to take me out to lunch to Applebee's (I had never been there and always wanted to go) and my sad reply was, "Yeah you better after freezing." Haha. Anyways, so we got there and they seated us and Logan said he had to go the bathroom. I was like okay whatever and he left while I sat and looked at the menu... for like 15 minutes!!! The waiters and waitresses kept walking by and giving me strange looks and I figured it was because I sat there alone for so long! Anyways, he FINALLY comes back and I was like "holy cow!" and he was like "Uhhh yeah... upset stomach." Haha :) So then we sat down and ordered and ate, and it was great (I still order that same thing EVERY time we go there now... so good! oriental chicken roll-up! yummy!) and we decided it was time to go so I got up and he was like "Uhm meet me at the car... I have to go to the bathroom again..." so I went out to the car and realized I had no keys so I stood in the cold again and got grouchy again :)
Then he came out after like 10 minutes and we got in the car... me thinking he was taking me back to my parents house, but no he started driving to the greenbelt around the Snake River by the temple, and I said, "NO WAY. I am freeeeeezing, I want to go home." and Logan said, "NO. If you go home then I'm going back to Rexburg right now." And then I started getting suspicious...
So he has on a sweater and a coat on over the top. He tells me we have to walk around for 10 minutes and then we can go home. I was SOOOO grouchy about it! So we start walking around and I ask him for his coat to which he replies, "NOO-OO-ooo..." And I'm like "what!?!??!!" even more suspicious... and then he reaches over to tickle me and I pull away... as he "secretly" but not so "secretly" pulls something out of his pocket and puts it in his sweater pouch thing. And then offers me his coat... oooohhh so smooth! ;) And then walked around hunched over so there was no bump I could see...
So then I KNOW what is going on and I'm thinking... why do we have to wait 10 minutes?? Why not now??? But I wait ever so patiently (with a little bit of whining and grouchiness) and then we look up and up drives this big white van... and what does the side of it say...??? "The Rose Shop" so out gets this guy with a HUGE grin on his face and a HUGE bouquet of daisies (my FAVORITE flower) and asks if I am Jenny Obray, to which of course... I say yes :)
And then Logan leads me over to by the falls and proposes right in front of the falls and the temple--so cute! And wanted to marry me in spite of my grouchiness in what he was trying to make a romantic day :)

Obviously I said yes, and we got married on August 11, 2006 :)
And had Emma on February 24, 2009! What a GREAT life!!
